On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Project Control Officer.
Project Control Officer – Job Description
Provides project control, methodology compliance and reporting related support for Programs/Projects within the Corporate Delivery function
Contribute to the overall Corporate Delivery function supporting various business/technology projects
Will be assigned to support specific projects, and/or work streams
Assist Program/Project Managers in day-to-day project execution, providing financial expertise, project governance and control support, ensuring project teams are informed and operating according to prescribed methodologies, regulatory guidelines and identified compliance requirements
Work with business/technical partners and stakeholders as the primary contact for project governance and control related support, evaluation, reporting and/or analytical support
Be knowledgeable on practices, procedures and trends within project management at bank
Use established enterprise project management systems, software and templates to prepare documentation, track and monitor information in collaboration with partners and delivery leads
Support team by improving knowledge/expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer
Exhibit attention to detail and high personal standards for accuracy and quality of work produced
Develop an understanding of the business/technical aspects of project assignments in order to effectively contribute to the project success
Manage expectations/concerns with relevant stakeholders and escalate issues where appropriate
Works well within defined guidelines and procedures and escalates issues to management as necessary
Typically reports to the Program Director and indirectly to Project/Program Delivery Leads
Project Control Officer – Mandatory Skills
CAPM/PMP or related project management accreditation
5-7 years of program/project Analysis experience (FI experience is a nice to have)
5-7 years of advanced financial acumen, including accounting, forecast, financial planning and management reporting, etc.
Proven experience with Clarity PPM (finance/resource management and reporting)
Working knowledge of project management processes, procedures, tools and best practices
Comprehensive skills with Office 365 (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and experience with Confluence/JIRA, MS Project and Visio
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to coordinate effectively at all hierarchy levels
Highly developed organization and time management skills
Experience with project governance, compliance documentation and reporting
Strong analytical skills to identify, resolve and communicate exceptions outside general practices or guidelines
Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Comfortable with ambiguity be flexible and have an ability to cope with rapid change
