Job Description

The Project Accountant role will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information of performance management, project planning and decision support. This role involves budgeting, cash flow forecasting, scenario analysis and partnering with different stakeholders to ensure that financial outcomes and deadlines are being met for the project.

The role will be well suited to an individual with experience in management or project accounting in a complex environment that is looking for the next step in their career and moving onto a high profile programme. The role will be suited to someone who ideally has a projects, infrastructure or construction background and is able to influence key decision makers.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand the budgeting approach and requirements.
  • Cash Flow forecasting for the project and being able to articulate and understand likely scenarios
  • Partnering with project stakeholders to provide information and financial advice
  • Provide accurate and timely monthly reports to relevant stakeholders along with commentary and analysis
  • Identifying opportunities and risks in budgets and forecasts

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a business related field.
  • 2+ years post CA qualification experience
  • Experience in project, construction or an infrastructure environment desirable not not essential
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior management and being able to influence decision making processes.
