What You Will Do

• Build strong relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to our internal business partners including Project Managers
• Assist in monitoring projects from inception to completion by partnering with Project Managers and presenting them with clear and accurate financial reporting 
• Provide relevant ad hoc reporting for senior stakeholders as requested
• Assist in monitoring Accounts Receivable aging and supporting collection of invoice payments
• Update, maintain and report on project budgets and forecasts
• Analyze project budget variances and overall project performance (revenue, cost and profit margins)
• Review monthly billings and consultant invoices and reconcile against project budget
• Produce monthly project reports and provide commentary on the financials results
• Review and assist in maintaining accurate revenue recognition
• Assist in meeting information and analysis requests from the business
• Build and maintain relationships with internal team members, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, to ensure collaboration

What We Need

• Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation or working towards a designation is preferred
• 5+ years of project accounting experience in the architectural or engineering industry
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (able to work consistently with advanced functions to interpret and analyze large volumes of data)
• Ability to prioritize workload and work with changing priorities
• Team-orientated and collaborative
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills

- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

- Construction Projects experience
