Job Description

Our client, Heinz Wattie's, is one of New Zealand's most loved brands. They are an iconic internationally recognized food manufacturing company.

Our client is looking for Production Workers in Hornby. Candidates must be able to start ASAP and commit until April 2022.

Majority of shifts are 4 nights on - 6pm-6am, followed by 4 days off. As an essential business, our client is operating throughout all COVID alert levels.

You MUST have your own transport to get to work as the site is not easily accessible by bus.

Pay Rate : min $ hour with 8% holiday pay accrued on top of this.

This role involves :

  • Variety of manual tasks
  • Assembling products and parts
  • Following production guidelines and specifications
  • Finalising and packaging products for shipment
  • Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products
  • Working on the production line and meeting production targets
  • Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty

We are looking for people with the following skills :

  • Sharp eye for detail
  • A pro-active personality - quick to ask if unsure of things, and quick to reach out if teammates need assistance
  • Reliability and good attendance records from previous roles
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work in wet and humid environments (Protective PPE is provided)
  • Passion and great team effort
