Job Description
A typical day will include:
- Ensuring production start up is smooth and fault free, providing support and guidance where required
- Attending daily Work Organisation meetings, assisting with and leading problem solving activities
- Having a conscious approach to business prioritisation, understanding the impact to quality, cost and time
- Researching and developing process technologies as part of continuous improvements or assigned projects
- Updating and developing standard operating instructions, training, checking and validating effectiveness
- Supporting the Process Planner (Manufacturing Engineer) with new product / process development
- Contribute and be an active member in reviewing existing and developing new processes through the use of industry standard methods and tools
- Provide a high quality, responsive service to the production teams
- Be an active participant in VPS (lean) development for processes and systems
Qualifications
- Experience in wood craft or carbon fibre technologies would be an advantage
- Experience within a production environment, specifically technical support / process engineering
- Excellent organisational , presentation and problem solving skills
- A high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Must work effectively with internal production, development and planning functions as well as external suppliers
- Good IT skills (Microsoft packages), CAD an advantage
- Fluent English is essential and basic German is an advantage
