The Production Specialist (PSP) – Bespoke, has two main responsibilities, supporting the Bespoke Process Planning within the Interior Surface Centre and organisation of the varied bespoke topics and features throughout the project timelines.
In the process area, the PSP is responsible for the support, review and optimisation of the existing and upcoming production system through structured application of the VPS principles. Develop, implement and document standards, focus on robust process, layouts, equipment and information flow. Support the Manager and team in specific skilled elements of the process, providing experience, guidance and training. Support the team in Work Organisation, Shell 2, with customer protection, problem solving, implementing solutions and improvements. Optimisation across process areas.
The Bespoke PSP will support the Bespoke Planners and Bespoke Specialists throughout the initial concept, testing, feasibility and finally though the build phase within the technology. The PSP needs to be able to contribute technological solutions for issues and understand a broad range of topics within the Interior Surface Centre. The PSP is required to support with specific bespoke materials including definition, order route and usage.
In the veneer and other material supply chain, the PSP, could make sourcing trips to suppliers worldwide, ensuring a sustainable supply of high-quality veneers and materials to the production process, reviewing and expanding supplier network. Veneer is subject to strict legal requirements, customs and export control, as such it is important to know the origin and species of material in order to be able to trace and demonstrate compliance. The PSP will also play an active role within the group, liaising with design, marketing and planning, building a network of contacts to define, source and evaluate materials or processes for new models, bespoke features, editions or one-offs.
