Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Production Support Manager, the Production Liaison Coordinator will be the face of BBC Studioworks , responding to the changing demands of productions and ensuring they receive an exemplary customer experience of their non studio requirements which will include the organisation of ancillary rooms, parking, storage and specialist IT.

The role requires flexibility to work at weekends and hours specific to shows.

You’ll provide support to the Production Support Manager and Operational team including Resource Managers in delivering shows and maintaining smooth running of sites and provide a flexible dedicated and ongoing service to clients ensuring all their needs are met.

Your duties will include attending site visits of ancillary areas, stages and studios during the planning and delivery stages of a production and then coordinating day to day production requirements such as access to site, parking, allocation of rooms, cleaning and IT support. You will be responsible for the turnaround of ancillary areas for productions, facilitating their set up based on client specifications and coordinate client specific pop up areas and catering facilities, then assisting with the post show reconfiguration of areas. In addition you’ll recruit, manage and co- supervise the training, development and management of day-to-day activities for Runners

The Ideal Candidate

You should be customer focused with proven experience of operating effectively in a customer driven environment and have excellent communication skills to deal confidently and tactfully with people at all levels.

You should have proven experience of scheduling, liaising with suppliers and negotiating costs and the ability to ensure appropriate resources are allocated efficiently and cost effectively. An appreciation of the programme making process is essential.
