A Newly created role within a thriving TV production company for a Production Finance Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity if you have a passion for the TV Industry and want to get your foot in the door in a well-known business. The right candidate may be activity studying towards an accountancy qualification, will possess an energetic personality and should be looking to grow within the company.

This established business has UK & US offices and is known for making award winning shows across a number of genres including Entertainment, Scripted and documentaries.

The role:

• To process a high volume of expenses and credit cards claims in the system for several productions,
• To check each expense claim has complete, legible receipts, is reasonable in nature, and that VAT is accounted for correctly.
• To forge effective working relationships with production teams to ensure the needs and goals of both teams are met.
• To act as custodian of cash float advances and the prepaid card accounts across several companies and productions.
• To process payments for float advances and employee expenses, ensuring these are done in a timely manner.
• To prepare and report the weekly analysis of outstanding floats/advances.
• To ensure financial and process controls are followed.
• To support peers, a team of production accountants and their line manager with any other ad-hoc analysis or processing, as required.

About you

• Graduate with 2.1 or above within a Finance or Accounting related degree
• Prior relevant experience – either in a busy accounts department or specifically in television production finance
• For this role the successful candidates will possess energy, enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail and the ability to self-organise
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Television production is fast paced by nature, so the successful candidates will be resilient and be able to adapt to changing (and sometimes, competing) priorities
