The BBC is 100 this year and we are looking for a Production Coordinator to join the Share your Story team taking Big names from TV, Radio, Sport and News and a range of BBC staff storytellers into UK schools as part of the centenary celebrations. They will host interactive storytelling sessions in school assemblies - sharing their life stories and experiences. The sessions will be designed to develop students’ storytelling, writing and presenting skills and boost their confidence. Following on from the storytelling session we will return to schools to deliver careers in storytelling panels to help increase the aspirations of the audiences we visit.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Share Your Story tour in schools all over the UK. They will also be required to provide logistical co-ordination to the production team on tour. They will have the ability to plan ahead for all likely eventualities and suggest/implement, on agreement, solutions to logistical and editorial problems.
We are looking for an experienced Production Co-Ordinator who has experience of dealing with multiple editorial teams working around the UK. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following key skills.
A background in events is desirable but not necessary but the successful candidate should have a strong interest in events.
Please note this project may involve working on location for several days per week, including overnights where logistically necessary although it will be a primary office based role.
The office team will work under the BBC’s Hybrid working model, spending on average 2-3 days working in the Media City Office and the rest of the time spent working from home. You must be able to be based in Media City for 2-3 days per week.
