We’re  looking for Production Co-ordinators to be part of our talent pool covering some of the BBC’s flagship programming including: daily programmes such as BBC Breakfast and Newsnight; one off Current Affairs documentaries and short series such as One Day in Gaza , Ade on the Frontline and Undercover with the Clerics; Radio output ranging from Newsbeat to More or Less and File On Four; and long running investigative series including Panorama and Africa Eye.  

Candidates who are successful in the recruitment process will be placed in our Production Co-ordinator Talent Pool and will be offered work as and when opportunities arise during peak business periods across the News division.  Appointment to the pool will not entitle candidates to a permanent contract in the BBC, those will have to be applied for in the normal way, and neither does it guarantee work.

Any work offered with the BBC will be conditional upon you having the right to work in the UK.

Role Responsibility

You will report to the Production Manager, and in partnership with the editorial team, help to deliver outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform content. The Production Co-ordinator will help provide logistical and co-ordinator support to their production teams, potentially working across a number of programmes, at any one time, ensuring delivery on schedule within budget and within operational and financial constraints. You will also contribute to, and help to implement, practical actions to reduce environmental impact throughout production.

The Ideal Candidate

• Preferably you'll have experience of working with crews and production teams with a strong knowledge of how productions are managed.  
• Ideally you'll have experience of setting up complex international shoots (this will be essential on some of our productions)
• You will demonstrate knowledge of co-ordinating and delivering a range of/elements of productions on time and on budget to a variety of broadcasters
• You'll be experienced in delivering to multiple platforms 
• You’ll be able to manage relationships effectively while working with a variety people within a diverse team
• You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, and will be able to manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines
• You will be a strong communicator and hold good attention to detail when working at pace
