Product & Reliability Engineer - 129746

THE ROLE: 

This dynamic, highly visible role drives product Quality & Reliability from concept to end of life to ensure a differentiated experience, improve customer happiness and build customer confidence. The suitable candidate will lead and be accountable for Quality & Reliability for all AMD datacenter CPU products. This is a high visibility role for highly expert candidates.

THE PERSON: 

Proven success working in product Quality and Reliability, with strong familiarity of Semiconductor IC Product Development, Silicon Fab process, high volume manufacturing, external supplier and customer interactions, and project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead multi-functional activities across design, platform, operations, and customer system bring-up and manufacturing to meet product quality and reliability requirements
• Customer interface for quality & reliability related items
• Influencing Fab and OSAT suppliers to meet product quality requirements including NUDD (New, Outstanding, Different, Difficult) for future technologies
• Define and lead product reliability qualification requirements and activities both at ASIC and board level
• Meet Customer Quality work per program achievements including customer interactions
• Measure and improve outgoing product quality through product end-of-life
• Maintaining robust Quality Processes & Quality Management Systems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Proven experience in product quality, reliability, or product engineering, preferably in semiconductor industry. Board level experience is a big plus.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing and test flow fab, bump, assembly, test
• Strong understanding of end-to-end system/component/process interactions
• Strong experience in structured problem solving is vital
• Customer facing experience with ability to network, establish relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization. Strong interpersonal skills are critical.
• Data analytics of manufacturing and customer data
• Highly organized, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

BS/MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or equivalent.
