Job Description

A quality testing role ensuring that all consumer facing products are fully tested and understood before the release to the TalkTalk customer base. This role identifies issues and bugs and facilitates a resolution (fix). It is a preventative role saving the TalkTalk business customer contacts and therefore cost. Products are also improved over time as new iterations go through a quality cycle which breeds customer loyalty and commercial success.


How you will add value to this role:

  • Product Quality Assurance (PQA) testing of TalkTalk group products and related services before their launch.
  • Debug and troubleshoot failed electronic components, assemblies and systems using test equipment and schematics.
  • Monitor component failures and initiate supplier notification if defect rates exceed acceptable levels.
  • Identify and resolve issues that adversely affect test yields.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish production test plans and processes
  • Compile and maintain test-related documentation, including test plans, procedures, results, and reports.
  • Initiate new ideas and concepts, plan and roll out process improvements to the QA operation.
  • Data collection, problem solving, analysis and publication of test results working to industry best standards.
  • Work effectively with high profile internal and external customers across multiple sites.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • ISEB Foundation Accreditation
  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Familiar QA methodologies, tools, processes
  • Experience in writing test plan & test cases
  • Excellent communication, written and oral

It would be desirable if you have:

  • BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science
  • Good data analysis and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with WI-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
  • Experience automating user interfaces
  • Experience with packet tracing tools
  • Excellent organisational & time management
