Job Description

This role is accountable for delivering the Wholesale Service Platform and CPE/VAS product strategy and execution plans for the TalkTalk Wholesale Services product portfolio. You will be a thought-leader, advising, guiding and engaging with a broad set of stakeholders, including the Product and Wholesale team members as well as key End-Customers / Partners.

You will drive product Discovery, creatively and clearly articulating product/market fit, customer journey, CX, business case and identify any technical constraints. You’ll create and evangelise the product vision, and develop the strategy to achieve this.   

For CPE and VAS: 

  • To develop the strategy for our security and router portfolio, managing and expanding the proposition to meet the needs of our Wholesale Broadband (B2B2C), Reseller, Carriers and Service Integrator partners.

  • To build on the existing approach and leverage the Group capabilities, looking for opportunities to upsell and cross-fertilise thinking

  • Develop a managed hardware approach as part our customer connectivity proposition that integrates with our lead to cash and assurance processes

  • To develop the product definitions and to provide input to development, testing, trials and launch activities

  • To identify additional value-add services that may extend beyond direct hardware propositions providing additional revenue or increasing customer satisfaction

  • To liaise with Procurement and Supply Chain functions to ensure timely delivery

For Platform

  • To develop the strategy for our platform, considering the available options and fit with market needs in order to clearly differentiate our offer and overall proposition to our partners

  • To develop both all-new and evolved capabilities in areas that extend capability beyond the traditional lead to cash and assurance journeys for customers and TalkTalk for example - bulk checking

  • To develop new platform capability, with a consistent customer experience that should delight the customer

  • Develop and implement the strategy to ensure the currency of portals, APIs and processes that maximises customer satisfaction, minimises cost and complexity to TalkTalk  and the customer

  • Ensure that the platform capability supports the objectives of all core TalkTalk programmes and the industry transition from copper to fibre

Reporting to the Head of Platform and VAS, you must also be able to drive development and take initiatives in matrix teams. You will be expected to own your portfolio area with a high level of autonomy, identify opportunities and drive them to fulfilment.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Product Management experience, can demonstrate understanding of customer needs, product-market fit, deriving competitive advantage, creation of an excellent CX with a clear focus on delivering what customers want 

  • Good understanding of the product discovery process and working with agile delivery teams 

  • Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management

  • Good understanding of telcos/ISPs industry and market, online security, relevant technologies

  • Excellent analysis, planning, presentation and execution skills, including ability to develop business cases

  • Proven delivery in complex dynamic situations

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate and evangelise the vision, the strategy and the roadmap, while taking on all feedback and stakeholder input.

  • Good collaborative skills, actively supporting the establishment of the new product processes and product team structure.

You’ll work with stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure the product line is delivered efficiently, to the highest performance and quality levels and at best value.
