This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional in the connectivity space to focus on product managing fixed and mobile voice solutions for TalkTalk’s Direct and Wholesale businesses. This leader is effectively advocating for a strong fixed and mobile voice roadmap/offering for our customers, excluding business specific voice solutions.

The key part of this role is driving the product roadmap for TalkTalk’s fixed voice portfolio – this includes the copper fixed voice product, VoIP offerings including mobile apps for landline and ATA. In addition, advocating clearly for the voice product set including influencing commercial decisions on how best the voice portfolio continues to remain a value part of the overall proposition. Also advocating for a strong CPE roadmap for fixed voice solutions (where applicable), working with the CPE product manager.

In addition, you'll also look at potential future opportunities in mobile.

You'll need to be work closely with the other leads in the connectivity and managed services team together with stakeholders in the wider business to ensure the fixed and mobile voice solutions product lines are joined up with our pivot to full fibre and wider strategic considerations for the business.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

Leadership:

• Drive cross-functional/departmental collaboration and truly live ‘One-Team’.

• Be accountable for all ad-hoc Projects and matrix manage resource accordingly.

• Lead the lifecycle management of the fixed and mobile portfolio for the direct and wholesale divisions (excluding business voice solutions), keeping a close eye on competitor/market evolution.

Product Management:

• Across the Direct and Wholesale business:

  • Driving the product set for voice across the Talktalk portfolio including lifecycle management

  • Responsible for leading the creation of an overall fixed and mobile voice product roadmap for the business, feeding into the overall product roadmaps

  • Driving key input into the overall product prioritisation list for the business from a fixed and mobile voice lens, gathering consensus on it and submitting product proposals as part of an overall set of priorities to the technology business (TCS)

  • Support budget and forecasting process

  • Review and analyse competitor product set to ensure Talktalk fixed and mobile voice products remain contemporary and continue to delight our customers

  • KPI reporting

  • Be a key leader in managing  3rd party supplier relationships partnering with the wholesale, procurement and supply chain teams to maximise potential of these tie-ups

  • Know our customers and their needs from first contact, through to in-life

What will I need in order to deliver in this role?

You'll have a strong understanding of fixed voice products (understanding of mobile would be ideal, but not essential for this role)

You will be a self starter, leveraging matrix organisations and external vendors to get your product roadmap delivered.

Your stakeholders will include the product, commercial, operational, technology, sales, marketing and group fibre development teams as well as peers from across the business. This role requires an eye for detail, a clear view of how a laser focus on the fixed and mobile voice solutions portfolio can delight customers, improve Talktalk’s P&L and drive strong commercial outcomes.

A strong understanding of our products, propositions and enabling technologies is needed while being able to commercially justify new product initiatives including their prioritisation.
