Department 

AMD’s technology validation team is a group within our Technology Operations department. The group is primarily located in central Texas but interfaces with support teams across the globe. Members of the technology validation team are primarily responsible for driving adoption of advanced technology ahead of AMD products. The team delivers critical data on yield, performance, and reliability in collaboration with AMD’s foundry partners. The team is also responsible for characterizing AMD’s future proprietary IP. The work done by the technology validation team paves the way for AMD’s product roadmap and ensures informed decision making by the executive team. The team interfaces directly with all of AMD’s internal and external customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Creating a test flow for screening and and characterization
• Translating test and characterization plans into a test program
• Developing test methods for incorporating test content into a Verigy93K test program
• Leading test pattern debug on the ATE/Verigy93K (shmoos, waveforms, etc…)
• Collect characterization data on the ATE/Verigy93K
• Supporting fault isolation and failure analysis
• Analyzing data and reporting results to internal and external customers

Preferred Experience

• ATE test experience w/strong knowledge of ATE and digital IC test (ATPG/Scan Logic, SRAM BIST, Register Chk)
• Experience with ATE equipment (Verigy 93K)
• Working knowledge and experience in test emulation and waveform analysis
• Good working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and scripting languages
• Demonstrated leadership strength managing different projects
• Strong problem solving and debug skills
• Must be a team player with strong communication skills
• Basic statistics knowledge

Preferred Education

Minimum B.S in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
