Amazon Fashion is looking for a driven individual to develop apparel product for Amazon’s Softlines Private Brands’. This is a super-exciting role for an experienced Product Developer to build customer loved product as part of the Softlines Private Brands team. This person will work closely with Vendors, Design and Business Management to define assortments, and create products from conception to launch for each season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion (ideally activewear), have experience with Product Development, and over index on Think Big, Invent & Simplify and Earns Trust. They will enjoy collaborating, and working in highly ambiguous 'white space' environments.

Key job responsibilities
• Build product assortments that reflect the preferences of a specific consumer segment, considering price, quality, visual aesthetic, lifestyle and other factors.
• Negotiate from a position of strength, using data to drive negotiation targets, and think holistically about cost inputs, including product costs, accruals for damage and freight, volume discounts, etc
• Manage product development and production calendars
• Grow the business by driving and implementing strategic initiatives to reach the company’s financial goals
• Drive process improvement for supply chain and supplier efficiency
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key suppliers and supply chain players
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to improve tools and productivity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree
· Excellent judgement
· Strong ability to influence across multiple key stakeholders
· Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
· Strong proficiency in analysis tools including Microsoft Excel
· Proven results of developing new products in the Softlines space
· Strong communication – verbal, written, and presentation skill

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in apparel and/or footwear product development at either a small company or large retailer
· SQL proficiency
· Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
· Demonstrated strategic planning as well as tactical execution with good attention to detail
