We are looking for a customer-focused, highly passionate, Principal Software Engineering Manager with experience on handling high scale distributed systems to help drive the future of our platform’s BCDR offerings. Come join us and help make Azure the most reliable & available cloud platform by offering Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery guarantee for various mission critical workloads that satisfies spectrum of industry segments who are embracing cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements for protecting mission critical workloads and enhance current Azure BCDR offerings to meet such requirements.
• Create long-term vision and strategy for Azure’s BCDR offerings that take in to account the changing landscape of Azure’s Compute, Storage & Network capabilities.
• Establish KPIs and successfully drive execution through collaboration and partnership with PM team and partners.
• Lead the team by bringing clarity, creating energy and driving results.
• Prioritize work for your team through collaboration with partner teams.
• Lead the design and implementation of various capabilities & enhancements being undertaken to help customers leverage Azure cloud effectively for their BCDR requirements/compliance.
• Accountability for design, implementation, quality, livesite & success of customers

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in software development and building world class solutions. 
• 5+ years as an engineering manager
• Excellent communication skill and a passion for managing a diverse team of engineers and helping them grow.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 
• Experience/knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise computing, IaaS and/or SaaS products
• Experience in technical leadership in driving engineering roadmaps, leading v-teams, mentoring and helping others grow technically.
• Track record of attracting, hiring, growing, and retaining top talent and working with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Hands on experience with distributed systems and services in the cloud.
• Experience with handling scale & quality focus.
