he Edge Browser engineering team is seeking an Principal Engineering Manager to lead the build and developer workflow team, one team in the Edge Browser engineering system group.

The new Microsoft Edge browser is built on the Chromium open-source project. The Edge team is looking for an engineering manager to lead a team making the Edge developer experience efficient and fluid.

The Edge Browser engineering system is modern, fast and always improving. It is built on state-of-the-art Azure technologies and supports modern development practices like trunk-based development and cloud-based build acceleration and targets multiple desktop and mobile platforms. The engineering system team is focused on making Edge code-to-customer time a competitive advantage as well as delighting the Edge development team with low-friction workflows.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include

• Daily management of a team of approximately 8 developers from senior to junior in experience
• Refine and improve the Edge cloud-build accelerator
• Define and drive Edge developer workflow improvements across multiple platforms
  Mature team engineering practices
• Contribute to direction setting of Edge engineering systems

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing commercial software
• 2+ years of managing software developers
• Experience building online services
• Familiarity with modern software engineering tools including Python and git

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
• Experience building mobile applications
• Experience building secure software engineering infrastructure.
