The Azure SAP Platform Team’s core mission is to build the platform that makes Azure the best cloud platform for running mission critical SAP workloads, which includes building first class experience for SAP workloads in Azure and providing migration story for SAP workloads running on-premise. We help our enterprise customers accelerate their digital transformation journeys and achieve seamless scale by providing a platform for running mission critical SAP workloads. We are looking for a customer-focused, highly passionate, strong software engineer lead with enterprise and infrastructure as service (IaaS) experience to help drive the future of our platform. Come join us and help shape the next generation Azure SAP Platform for Azure.

Successful candidates would have a proven track record in software engineering and leading software engineering teams.  We are looking for a candidate with technical depth in software development, operating services, and team player who works well in a highly collaborative global environment with peers and teams in other organizations.

Responsibilities

Grow a software development team

Work with Microsoft development teams in India and Germany

Work closely with Program Management to help define and execute on the product's vision and strategy

Inspire and drive engineering and operational excellence across your team

Qualifications

7+ years of work experience in software development, ideally in distributed systems and/or online services

2+ years working as a people manager; leading inclusive teams, providing coaching, delivering feedback, and demonstrating successful results

Excellent architecture and distributed systems skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Experience shipping and operating cloud/online services

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, similar engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for providing great developer experiences, driving simplicity through the dev pipeline

SAP architecture background

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
