Responsibilities

As a Principal Software Engineer in our team, your areas of focus will be within an end to end team to architect, build, deploy and manage solutions that will help end users stay and feel safe from cyber threats. You will work across organizations, collaborating with partner teams to create innovative solutions in mobile threat defense area. The products that you architect and build must be durable across multiple releases, optimized and meet all the expectations of highly scalable, available, and reliable mobile applications. You will work closely with Program Managers and other Security Engineering disciplines to deliver core features for mobile thread defense. You will fill a vital role in the fight against malware and see the results of your work contributing to protection of millions of customers.

Additionally, as a self-driven person, you will also be responsible for ensuring code quality, provide thought leadership in bringing innovation to our products and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a software engineer working on industrial strength software and a proven track record of having shipped commercially successful software products & services.
• Ability to nurture and grow talent.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security researchers, and Data Scientists.
• 7+ years of experience designing end user applications on mobile platform (iOS or Android)
• 7+ years of experience building an entire app from scratch and ideally a portfolio of apps featured in the App Store.
• 7+ years of experience in development principles and patterns
• 7+ years of Swift and Objective-C with iOS internals Or Java/JNI and Android internals
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with secure software development life cycle
• Experience with software development tools such as source control systems (GIT), automated build systems, compilers, software validation systems, project tracking, and lifecycle management systems
• Work independently, drive and manage technical and architectural dependencies.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science
