We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Manager to lead a large, complex and multi-functional technical program. You'll have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers. This is a strategic role to shape and deliver a technical strategy for improving the Prime Video customer experience and creating visibility into the end-to-end delivery of content. You will lead a high-visibility and high-impact program collaborating with various teams across Prime Video. You will own regular communication with senior leadership on technology, dependency management, risk mitigation and program health.

Key job responsibilities
In addition to continuously executing against the core mission of higher availability, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in engineering, product management, marketing, finance, and executive teams to launch new features, to develop and grow business opportunities, and to enhance our customer experience. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and end-users around the world at all levels and will contribute to the Prime Video roadmap by identifying and prioritising customer requirements. You live and breathe data analysis, and can succinctly and accurately communicate your insights to drive action.

A day in the life
You will own long-running programs to make Prime Video even more reliable for customers. In that capacity, you will directly own goals with visibility throughout (and beyond) Prime Video. You will own the execution of projects to meet those goals, including communication to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will work with teams across Prime Video and throughout Amazon to influence organisational roadmaps and strategy.

About the team
The Prime Video READI (Resilience, Efficiency, Availability, and Demand Insights) team make all Prime Video systems more available and efficient. We are a fast-growing and diverse team of Software Development Engineers, Data Scientists, and Technical Program Managers distributed across the US, UK and Canada. We work on hard, industry-scale problems, re-inventing approaches to high-availability, observability, scalability and large-scale data modelling.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
· Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
· Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Ability to conceptualise complex interrelated applications and system platforms, as well as the ability to effectively communicate those systems to non-technical team members and business partners
· Experience building new products from experiments
· Ability to work effectively with remote teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects involving partner teams inside and outside your organisation
· Experience developing products and technologies for internal technical stakeholders
· Customer relationship skills including the ability to discover and prioritise requirements and underlying feature requests, to recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and to lead engineering efforts to meet bold timelines with optimal solutions
· A deep understanding of the SDLC and consistent record of achieving program objectives on schedule, on budget and meeting quality criteria
· Strong sense of ownership and accountability for program success
· Track record of solutions proven to perform and scale over time
