Active Directory (AD) team lies at the core of the business, we are assembled to support one of the largest directory services in the world which functions as a core data layer of Microsoft 365 stack and support all other services built upon us. We are also heavily investing on AI to empower our services for better stability, scalability, performance and security. Store is the core of Microsoft 365 services to store 2+EB customer data.
As the engineer manager of the Microsoft 365 AD/Store AGC (Air-Gapped Clouds) team you will be responsibly leading the team to develop new features, improve performance, drive down costs of goods shipped (COGS) for the service and apply those changes across a big product group.

Responsibilities

• Able to build a team and lead engineers on large scale efforts and have team-wide impact
• Working in the Microsoft productivity suite where you enable millions of users to have instant access to their mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes on their smart phones
• Work with peer engineers, partner teams and program managers across US and China to deliver cutting edge cloud technology
• Building distributed, highly available and resilient systems
• Analyzing, designing and implementing subsystems of the storage and database engine, and ensure the highest code quality and performance
• Working with services spanning thousands of servers, doing tens of billions of transactions and serving hundreds of millions of users
• Reducing the operation cost no matter it's air-gapped clouds, go-local or multiple tenants environments

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of experience in developing & creating platforms and cloud services
• At least 3 years people management and project management experience
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English
• Excellent design, coding, debugging and problem solving skills
• Experience with at least one complete ship cycle of a commercial product
• Strong proficiency in C#
• Experience in storage, privacy and security is a big plus
