About this role
Fixate on deeply understanding CFU requirements and external market opportunities to drive growth, customer experience and efficiencies.
Accountable for creating an environment that enables our stakeholders to use data to derive new insight and predict outcomes using AI, statistical and machine learning techniques.
Leads on CFU engagements to supports strategic goals, identify opportunities and deliver value through the harvesting & exploitation of data and AI at scale.
Build, coach, mentor, develop and line manage a team of data engineering talent to adopt Agile and value-based delivery principles to support and accelerate the group wide data strategy.
Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams alongside programme and commercial peers to deliver high-value projects.
Develop strong relationships with DAIS teams (such Architecture, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Science), as well as external leaders in industry in order to ensure sharing & consistency of best practice as well as utilising cross functional technologies
You'll have the following responsibilities
Accountable for defining and leading data and AI exploitation for CFU.
Carry out reactive and proactive data analysis of large datasets using a wide range of technologies and visualisation software
Accountable for realising value from CFU data and ensuring that business value is fully generated, delivering key scorecard KPI’s including revenue, cost savings and customer experience improvements.
Accountable for ensuring that we generate the next wave of data innovation and securing and enabling our best-in-class talent.
Constantly challenging the status quo to effectively drive continuous improvement and genuine innovation into every decision that we make.
Owns a range of stakeholder engagements into CFUs to ensure DAIS supports strategic goals and delivers value for CFUs.
Leads on technical skills and talent development for the team.
Empower the team to deliver innovative solutions focused on delivering sustainable business benefits.
You'll have the following skills & experience
Technical domain expert: Considerable hands-on (10+ years) experience in data, advanced analytics and AI (cloud platforms, data engineering, data management, SQL, visualisation.
Significant delivery: evidence of significant business impact through delivery.
Stakeholder management: evidence of managing multiple stakeholders across the business at a variety of grade and seniority levels.
Innovative Thinker: ability to spot and identify new innovations and act to bring them in and capitalise and create value.
Commercial Applicability: understanding the business case principals around relevant innovations and the real value to the business through value proposition build.
Communication: experience of story telling with data and presenting to MDs/CxOs .
