Principal Consultant

 

This is a diverse, strategic, field-based role that provides detailed technical, fiscal, & regulatory support to existing and prospective customers, working closely with Sales and Account Managers and representing AL-UK at industry meetings and conferences.

 

The role will ensure great customer outcomes by delivering high quality pieces of work that meet customer objectives, provide clear recommendations, and are supported by evidence and analysis.

 

The role will provide regular updates and articles of interest to the Sales & Marketing team to ensure best practice is shared among all customers and to provide collateral for Marketing Campaigns on specific fleet topics.

 

Your responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Provide expert advice and support to customers and prospects, informed by a deep understanding of the legislative, tax and environmental framework in which fleets operate.
  • Provide consultation services to customers & prospects to demonstrate the value of Alphabet.
  • Deliver presentations and reports to board & executive level decision-makers at the customer and provide support to the customer in implementing strategies and recommendations.
  • Support the technical and strategic aspects of tender and bid proposals to win and retain customers.
  • Develop profit improvement plans through added value propositions to ensure profitable and sustainable customer relationships.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Account Management teams to develop plans to improve ROE and PCII.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Product Management and sales teams to identify opportunities to develop existing products and ensure customer requirements are considered throughout product development.
  • Lead AlphaElectric product and support Sales teams to sell it.  This means being the principal contact for the Munich product team, providing the consultative services and train the trainer materials to demonstrate how to identify and promote the AlphaElectric service.
  • Create appropriate training to cover finance products, electrification, tax, legislation, and Deloitte analysis enabling the sales force to provide services directly.
  • Network with external Customers, OEMs, Big Four Accountancy firms, BVRLA, Industry bodies and thought leaders, Legislative authorities, any other strategic industry suppliers to develop knowledge of the market now and its development for the future and to leverage that information for the benefit of the business and our customers. 

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of the car leasing industry and proven experience of commercial impacts of applying different solutions to customer fleets
  • Experienced in data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting
  • Experience of building strong relationships and a consultative approach
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Experienced in use of Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills
