Power Engineering Lead- 113661

THE PERSON:

As Power Engineering Lead, you will ensure the success of multiple programs by crafting a scalable and innovative environment for our engineers to deliver spectacular products. Your people leadership and program management skills will help provide a tactical structure across your staff, your ability to work across teams and bring their differing goals together will enable great collaboration, and your technical insight into power measurement, analysis, and tools will allow you to drive innovation into our products and processes.

This role requires an unusual mix of technical breadth, problem solving, and soft skills. It’s not for the overly introverted but instead for the daring engineering leader who appreciates having a high-visibility role and making an impact. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Client System Power Engineering Team, including staffing & assignments, across multiple programs
• Author and implement scalable strategies, processes, and tactics to drive power optimization in product-specific systems; identify risks & build mitigation plans.
• Engage with multi-functional leadership & teams to integrate your and your team’s analyses with other project work streams; collaborate with your peers and others to drive best practices
• Engage with Customer Engineering and customers on optimization opportunities; promptly resolve issues
• Support multi-functional and sophisticated technical teams with targeted ad-hoc analyses through hands-on testing

Requirements:

• Direct technical experience on system performance analysis and micro-architectural power management.
• Proven leadership to grow self, staff, and team capability and capacity
• Proven interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and project planning & execution skills
• Speak SW not just HW - understand issues & impacts at the System level
• Independently organized, self-motivated, and data-driven

Preferred:

• Experience with x86 architecture and familiarity with hands-on system setup & testing.
• Excellent verbal communication and written, presentation skills.
• Proven track record to deliver large, multi-functional technical work for self and team
• Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization and multi-site environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred, with minimum 5+ years proven experience
