Our internal facing team is responsible for leadership support, resource planning, forecasting and budgeting, business operations, management of contracts and billing of our portfolio of PwC products. We support our leaders by continuously innovating and improving products operations so that we can provide the highest quality of services. Reporting to the Enablement Leader, the Portfolio Management Lead within PwC’s Products & Technology (P&T) organization will play a critical role in promoting our values and behaviours, holding responsibility for coaching and managing the team as well as shaping our Portfolio Management, Application Portfolio Management and Resource Management functions.

What you'll create and do

As a senior manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Portfolio management(30%) 

Lead the team that oversees the P&T product portfolio and provides planning  services to ensure the successful delivery of P&T products and technology, providing a unified view of what is being delivered and when 

Implement, oversee and refine planning and delivery playbooks for all types of initiatives across the P&T technology landscape

Balance priorities across P&T, resolve conflicts between initiatives, and coordinate overlapping or related activities 

Establish / improve and educate P&T team on program mechanisms in the delivery of initiatives

Oversee the collection and analysis of portfolio progress and performance updates and generate insights and recommendations

Provide always-on/real-time reporting of portfolio status and performance to P&T and Firm leadership

Resource Planning (25%) 

Oversee the Resource Planning function

Ensure efficient and effective process are in place for resource capacity reporting and sourcing decisions across P&T and with third party suppliers

Provide always-on/real-time reporting of resource capacity and allocation

Application Portfolio Management (20%) 

Oversee the Application Portfolio Management system

Planning, remediation, and monitoring progress of territory inputs into the Global repository

Report Portfolio status to P&T Leadership, Business Leaders, clients and other stakeholders in support of the Insights & Reporting team

People and relationship management (25%) 

Supervise Vendor Management, Portfolio Managers and Delivery Coordinators in the Portfolio Management team

Develop and maintain effective relationships with P&T and Enablement clients

Responsible for resolving issues, managing client expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction

Provides strong leadership to cross-functional development teams, manages team productivity and guides team members to ensure they understand P&T deliverables 

Clearly and succinctly communicates to senior leadership and clients on a regular basis, providing transparency of delivery performance and, as required, any issues and mitigation tactics needed to overcome challenges faced by the team

Evaluates individual performance and conducts regular 1:1 meetings to recognize each individual's achievements, as well as discusses areas of improvement and helps staff members develop career growth plans

Encourages a continuous learning mindset across the team

Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management (10%) 

Manage contractual agreements with sourcing vendors

Oversee intake and management of engagements

Reconciliation of engagement statement of work and invoicing

Report on the status of engagements across all sourcing vendors

Process improvements and engagement level quality control

What you'll bring to this role

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business-related or technology-related discipline preferred

Experience with productization and people management

Portfolio Management experience, or related experience

Advanced portfolio management experience

Experienced in portfolio management methodologies and tools

Experience working with and delivering results through the use of data management and visualization tools  

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and execute work in a deadline-driven environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey messages with impact and communicate concepts, requirements, and design approaches to variety of stakeholders

Ability to negotiate and influence effectively

Comfortable with rapid agile development cycles and tight schedules

Approaches issues and opportunities with a creative and innovative mindset

Excellent problem solving skills
