Nucleus Local Programme Management Office (PMO) Lead

As part of Next Generation Data and Insights, the Nucleus programme will roll out to all European markets in the next five years under the flag of Group Data and Analytics (DA). The main aim of the programme is to drive change and integration across the local DA organisation by initiating, transforming and managing projects to increase cost efficiency and availability of information to enhance business steering.   

 

This role will have accountability for PMO activities and support overall programme management and execution for one or more local markets on the Nucleus implementation roadmap.

 

The role is accountable for establishing the governance processes for the local market implementation to ensure proper and timely decision making with all key stakeholders, reviewing and challenging the system integrator, other vendors / consultants and local market implementation plans, as well as identifying any potential deviations from agreed timelines or quality levels and resolving related issues.  

You will

  • Proactively follow up and judge effectiveness of interventions to proactively escalate and digest topics to the programme manager
  • Big picture thinking vs tenacious follow through of committed timelines, prevent distractions on rabbit hole conversations.
  • Providing day-to-day structure and follow up on the programme, both during implementation and handover to operations and BAU
  • Development and maintenance of a detailed programme workplan.  This will include identifying and agreeing dependencies, key milestones, and deliverables
  • Providing programme-wide change control and risk and issue management, including escalation of risks and issues raised by members of the programme
  • Assisting the programme manager with the production of programme-wide status reports and supporting information required to support the operation of executive level governance meetings

 

You must have

  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Project
  • Knowledge of document management systems (e.g. SolMan)
  • PMO experience preferably in the technology sector and / or business transformation
  • Ability to drive peers in a diverse international and distributed team
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting needs 
  • Transformational change experience in large multi-cultural / multi location organisation
  • Experience of Vodafone’s working environment.
