Microsoft Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (CHIE) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. CHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions.

To achieve this goal, the Cloud Hardware Manufacturing Engineering (CHME) team is instrumental in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery, scale and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware. We are looking for seasoned engineers with a strong passion for customer focused solutions, insight and industry knowledge to envision and implement future technical solutions that will manage and optimize the Cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage external hardware supplier onboarding & Integration to API services and working as the primary point of contact to suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal & external global teams, and external hardware suppliers to ensure data stream continuity, coverage, and end to end data quality.
• Define and develop requirements to integrate with internal/external partners
• Data analysis to identify and understand data gaps and building strategy to improve the data quality over time.
• Enable visualization to draw deep data insights using Power BI.
• Be data driven in decision making and in influencing teams, business and partners.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of technical Program Management experience in a software development environment
• 3+ years of good problem solving/data analysis experience coupled with at least 3 years background with SQL or other comparable analytical tools

Preferred

• Technical problem-solving and analytical skills using data analysis and escalation management in a complex environment.
• Strong technical background and solid foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design
• 1+ years’ experience in program management of hardware development and manufacturing.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to impact & influence key stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience with planning and executing with one or more feature teams using scrum/agile methodologies
• Perform risk management and change management on projects.
• Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
• Drive internal process improvements and remove gaps across multiple teams
• Effective at managing multiple work streams and stakeholders’ expectations
• Exposure to programming languages/tools including SQL
• Experience with Power BI for reporting/visualization
