Primark Technology is about to embark on a transformation journey to support business strategy which includes modernising our operating model as well as technology architecture. Product Manager Integration & Automation CoE will be accountable for developing our capability to implement a range of integration and automations solutions for across our products and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for development capability to implement a range of integration solutions for across our platforms
- Provide technical ownership of the integration landscape for systems across the entire tech estate
- Support Architecture with aligning integration plans with the broader architectural blueprint strategies.
- Work alongside Support Teams to provide technical ownership into the resolution of all integration related priority incidents and problems.
- Support Architects to develop target state solution blueprints to meet requirements, both functional and non-functional
- Oversee a detailed roadmap of all upcoming integrations and configuration
- Work with the integration Product Manager, Product Owners and developers to deliver integrations and configurations
- Manage Integrations Platforms and Vendors - maintain an eye on the market, looking for Tech solutions that provide a better more cost-effective integrations solutions
- Oversee the development and maintenance of citizen platforms (e.g Mendix) ensuring value is maximised after platform development
- Work closely with process owners, to identify, analyse and recommend business process changes to ensure optimal automation opportunities.
- Gather requirements and test plans for robotic process automation and design, develop and maintain highly repeatable and reliable automated processes.
- Work closely with multiple dev / product teams to create and maintain test cases covering product / feature requirements and help the teams test their software.
- Work on our release process and pipeline with the other engineers to make continuous improvements using automation.
- Integrate our release pipeline with tools to enable a fully automated release process. Where these tools don’t exist, build them.
- Work closely with stakeholders outside the team to manage releases.
- Communicate the impact of emerging technologies on the business and technology landscape.
- Work directly with Tech and Business stakeholders to support the development of product strategies, roadmaps, business cases and transformation programmesKnowledge & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 10 years’ technical experience working with integrations and automation in a retail environment
- Experience with IT integration and IT architecture and played a major role in moving similar sized retail business forwards
- An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experience

- Experience or good awareness of Mule, Spring framework, JMS/message queues, REST and SOAP, ideally with CXF, and scripting languages such as Groovy and JavaScript
- Significant experience of working within a hybrid engineering and SaaS environment
- Understanding of modern technologies used with retail environments, especially the use of cloud technologies.
- Experience of line management of autonomous and highly skilled Engineers.
- Demonstrable ability to influence effectively in a matrix organisation.
- Experience of working with senior business stakeholders including providing appropriate challenge.
- Experience of sourcing and managing third party partners.
- A broad technology understanding with deep knowledge in specialist areas
