About the team
This role sits within Asset Scheduling and Delivery Coordination Unit within Engineering & Maintenance and is responsible for developing, planning and implementing possession strategies to optimise the safe and efficient delivery of the Sydney Trains Annual Works Program, TfNSW, Sydney Metro and Capital & External projects.
The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity available for a Planning & Programming Electrical Access Engineer to join the Asset Scheduling and Delivery Coordination Unit. This role coordinates the development of all external program schedules and requirements for the isolation and switching of High Voltage and 1500 volt overhead wiring electrical equipment throughout the network.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the work completed is aligned with internal requirements, whilst ensuring the most efficient use of electrical network isolation resources and the most effective outcomes.

Key accountabilities of the role include:
Coordinate proposed construction and maintenance activities to ensure the delivery of the Sydney Trains Annual Works Program, Capital and External Infrastructure and Rolling Stock assets that achieve the most productive use of available electrical network isolation resources
Manage the development and coordination of the requirements for the isolation and switching of High Voltage electrical equipment throughout the network for all Sydney Trains Capital and Maintenance Program Schedules
Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the Engineering & Maintenance branch and Transport for NSW to support an environment of cooperation in delivery programming and planning
Manage electrical network isolation information status and reporting, including providing relevant updates for distribution to all relevant stakeholders.

About you
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
Well-developed understanding of asset lifecycle management, processes and information, in particular high voltage electrical equipment
Well-versed experience or knowledge of temporary transport/plant/site shutdown operation and planning, including electrical switching
Extensive experience in the management or delivery of electrical-related projects
Sound analytical, investigation, evaluation and reporting skills
Highly developed written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 6A ($127,559) – 6E ($141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
