About the team

This role sits within Asset Scheduling and Delivery Coordination Unit within Engineering & Maintenance and is responsible for developing, planning and implementing resourcing and possession strategies to optimise the safe and efficient delivery of the Sydney Trains Annual Works Program, TfNSW, Sydney Metro and Capital & External projects.

 

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an opportunity available for a Planning & Program Engineer to join the Asset Scheduling and Delivery Coordination Unit. This role assists with the development, coordination and maintenance of the Sydney Trains – Master Schedule for Capital, External Party and Maintenance programs in order to best utilise resources including trackwork access windows.

 

This role will see you coordinate with a range of key stakeholders to ensure achievement of optimum benefit regarding safety, reliability, and capacity to meet demand relative to program costs on behalf of the Asset Management Division and Sydney Trains.

This is a fixed term opportunity up to August 2024.

 

Key accountabilities of the role include

 

Liaise with key stakeholders for the coordination and scheduling of the proposed capital, external and maintenance activities to ensure the delivery of a coordinated Annual Works Program.

Monitor the progress of delivery programs and projects to ensure that the potential impact of delays or adverse outcomes is identified promptly.

Assist in the maintenance of trackwork shutdown and resource programming information and use various enterprise systems to maintain the Master Schedule and generate reporting.

About you

 

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent industry experience

Sound knowledge and/or experience in project management, construction or coordination

Well-developed understanding of asset lifecycle management, processes and information

Well-versed experience or knowledge of temporary transport/plant/site shutdown operation and planning

Highly developed written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams

Sound analytical, investigation, evaluation and reporting skills

Proven ability to coordinate programs within transport or infrastructure industry.

 

Salary and benefits

 

The salary for this position is Grade 6A ($127,559) – 6E ($141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
