A local authority is looking for a Planner (Development Management) to manage a caseload of planning applications. Reporting to Development Management Manager/Lead Principal Planner the role offers Immediate start and is initial duration is for 9 months, with potential for extensionRate is up to £30 per hour (inside IR35) Job description

• Development Management experience preferred, however suitable private sector experience will be considered.
• Managing a caseload of planning applications and pre-applications, mainly comprising householder and other minor planning applications, and determining within statutory timeframe and/or local time targets.
• Being courteous to all customers at all times, ensuring all public consultation procedures have been followed.
•  Preparing well written advice in the form of letters and reports and making recommendations on the merits of the planning proposal.
