The opportunity

We have a new opportunity for a Planning Manager, temporary full time role upto 30th June 2024 within SCATS division. This role with SCATS is responsible for providing software development and system expertise while working with key stakeholders to build exceptional organisational capabilities in agile scrum software development, while delivering on ambitous customer centric product roadmap. The role takes the lead in managing and supporting several newly established agile teams to deliver the product roadmap and to establish collaborative, innoavative and adaptive ways of working, firmly focused on delivering value to our customers.

 

Your role will include:

Support several newly establish agile scrum teams and their scrum masters to continuously improve their ways-of-working within and between teams and across multiple functions, including product and customer support. 

Ensure the product vision for SCATS is achieved and customer priorities are met, by working with the agile teams and key stakeholders to accelerate the delivery of the SCATS road map.

Maximise the effectiveness of SCATS’ product delivery effort, by working with Product and Technology team leaders, manage the allocation of product and technology staff into topic-streamed agile development teams, within relevant resourcing and budget constraints.

Lead key planning and continuous improvement forum to build shared understanding, increase coordination, increase velocity and maximise value delivery.

Ensure forward visibility of key dates and milestones, by defining weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual schedules for sprints, program increments, product demonstrations, releases and other key agile events.

Develop and manage key relationships across the transport cluster, NSW government agencies and external relationships, and manage stakeholder communications

About you

 

Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.

Extensive experience working on Agile programs using Scrum.

Experience in managing, coaching and developing agile teams and team members.

Experience leading organisational change and establishing new ways of working.

Strong knowledge of project management including governance and various project methodologies.

Strong communications and ability to communicate at all levels including translating technical info to non-technical audience and vice versa.

Ability to build relationships quickly, influence & negotiate.

Experience in planning of resources preferably in an IT environment.

 

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($138,670.00 - $155,309.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
