Join our Care team as a Peripatetic General Manager

Already a leading developer and provider of housing, care and support, our current portfolio is valued at over £40million which is set to soar over the next few years with our development plan well underway. With a further 400+ Senior Living units in contract we are looking to extend our operational management at a senior level.

The role

This band 3 role is located within the Care and Support Division which is responsible for the operational management for a range of client groups and contracts.  The Peripatetic Role involves:

  • Ensure that the relevant regulatory and commissioning bodies’ standards are achieved and that all staff are trained to understand and operate at this level. This includes CQC and ARCO for our Extra Care schemes
  • Lead the implementation of new services, drives referrals and admissions and share best practice with other sites and the wider team.
  • Provide support to existing Home Managers in day to day operations ensuring that the service meets the organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal and regulatory requirements, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Hold CQC Registration for the service
  • Deliver quality assurance; including performing regular audits and liaison with the Head of CQC compliance
  • Ensure that homes are service focused and delivering an exceptional customer journey experience from enquiry to placement

What you will need to succeed

  • Excellent knowledge of CQC and ARCO Compliance
  • A strong background of achieving a ‘good’ rating or higher in all areas of a CQC inspection
  • NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management or equivalent
  • Experience of running a predominantly private fee paying home
  • Experience of working in a service focused operator with 5 star customer journey delivery
  • Experience of commissioning and opening new build care homes with management through to maturity
