Job Description

  • Avia are currently looking for an experienced Performance Manager to work in the car and home insurance new business and renewals team.

    Aviva’s PCW (Price Comparison Website) retail team has been set up to manage the performance of Aviva’s 3 brands, Aviva, Quotemehappy.com and General Accident.

    We are looking for highly motivated individuals, with a natural curiosity and eagerness to understand the market in which we operate, and to find data driven solutions to performance issues through business insight allowing us to make astute commercial decisions to drive the business forward.

    To be consider for this position you must have the following experience:

    • Background within Insurance (Home/Motor preferred)

    • Strong Analytical experience

    • Ability to look at performance and improve this by understanding the Insurance market

    In 2020 Aviva introduced “Smart Working”. This means we offer you the split of working from home as well as coming in to our London or Norwich offices when required.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support Aviva’s 3 brands growth in PCW market

    • Optimisation of performance through pricing and proposition across new business to meet KPIs

    • Manage delivery of change initiatives on PCW Hopper list

    • Optimise new business and renewals to meet our trading goals

    • Feed market and new business performance insights into weekly performance meetings

    • Responsible for New business AB testing -setting and measuring uplifts in performance

    • Ensuring data is driving our trading decisions through Adhoc analysis and LTV modelling

    • Submission of planned quotes for PCW including forecasting of marketing initiatives

    • Understanding end to end new business and renewal performance across each product and PCW

    • Understand PCW mappings, questions sets and product add on offerings across products and how this affects performance

    Experience & Skills required:

    • Commercial awareness and understanding of the insurance market

    • Previous experience in Life-time value modelling would be advantageous

    • Home / motor product & proposition experience

    • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work across teams

    • Able to communicate complex analysis in a simple and effective way

    • Analytics experience – knowledge in extracting and analysing data sets using SQL and Excel would be beneficial
