Job Description

The role reports directly into the General Manager of the FTTP and working closely with key senior leaders in the FTTP Taskforce and across the Direct business including the Sales and Trading Director, Head of Customer Strategy and Head of Altnets.  

The main objective of the FTTP Taskforce is to increase customer connections onto FTTP, growing our ultrafast base and increasing TalkTalk ultrafast

  • Lead the presentation and story-telling of the FTTP strategy and plan – across the entire business and to senior stakeholders.

  • Work across the Taskforce to build the strategic and tactical plans together to deliver the overall FTTP plan

  • Working closely with the Taskforce Leadership team, preparing content for weekly calls, understanding activity and plans, working with the team to champion new initiatives and ideas.

  • Manage the R&O process to meet our annual targets, identifying risks and opps as they arise

  • Maintain the high level action plans that underpins strategic performance in agreement with accountable Taskforce leader.

  • Apply a range of data analysis techniques to enable senior managers to have a detailed understanding of the effectiveness of the service assurance and supplier policies and processes, potential risks and opportunities for process change or improved automation.

  • Undertaking detailed investigations into the drivers of scorecard KPIs Create solutions, gain agreements, own plans & deliver. Track benefits and share with stakeholders. Assess, deliver, and track the benefits of new activities.

  • Lead on key stakeholder management communications and presentation material – including TalkTalk board reports,  monthly Trading Board pack, CEO and MD briefing packs and Finance summaries.

What experience do I need to be successful? 

  • Experienced in practical application of performance management, data analytics and continuous improvement.

  • You will have proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to and create plans which are highly flexible based on numerous internal and external dependencies. 

  • You will be an excellent communicator and storyteller, being able to translate often complicated timelines and priorities, into simple Director and Exec level summaries using numbers, charts, and words.   

  • Having strong organisational skills is a must.  You must be able to clearly articulate what is required but also why it’s needed along with any recommendations for change, in a way that enables quick and easy decision making.
