This role is a fixed term contract/secondment for 12 months.

What’s the role about?

We have an exciting opportunity as a pensions Specialist within a busy small team where you can utilise your existing pension knowledge and further develop your skills within a supportive environment, supporting partners and external stakeholders every day will offer a different challenge and opportunity.   

What will you be doing?

•  Responsible for providing pensions technical expertise across the Operation. 

• Ensure pension policy, legal, regulatory and internal controls are delivered, maintained and enhanced across the Operation. 

•  Support delivery of all changes to systems, processes and procedures as required by updates to policy, practice or regulation.  

• Responsible for updating and maintaining the quality of data and calculations held to ensure that the Operation can continue to be efficient, effective and compliant. 

• Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement and lead team activities across the Operation. 

• Inspire, motivate, coach and develop Partners within the Operation.    

What you'll already have?

• A detailed and practical knowledge of statutory legislation pertinent to running DB and DC schemes

• Working towards qualification of APMI or equivalent

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

What else could you bring? 

• Extensive experience within an occupational pension scheme administrator 

• Some experience of managing teams of pension professionals

• Excellent Excel knowledge as extensively used in the role
