Description

Robert Half Accounting and Contract are working with a mining company locally who is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team immediately. Reporting into the Director of Finance, the Payroll Manager will manage 3 Payroll Clerks and oversee the processing of 1000+ employees bi-weekly, non-union payroll (95% in BC, a few in US) both hourly and salaried employees. The successful incumbent will manage all information, new hire set up and terminations, and journal entries into MS Dynamics. Located in Fort St. John, this is a long-term contract opportunity working 100% remotely. The client is quite flexible with hours and days.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of full cycle payroll experience processing 300+ employees ideally
• 1 year in Payroll supervisory/management role
• Experience with ADP (WorkForceNow an asset)
• Payroll accounting experience
• High intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills (comfortable using vlookups/pivot tables functions)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Comfortable training and working remotely (client would provide laptop/equipment); has functioning internet and home office
• Available immediately to start working
