Description

Robert Half client in the health and food industry is seeking an Payroll Administrator to join their team. As Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for full cycle payroll, answering employee inquiries and ensuring accuracy. This is a contract role with strong potential for extension; located in Downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities:

• Process full cycle payrolls and maintain employee data;

• Reconcile, run reports, and create remittances;

• Balance payrolls on a monthly and yearly basis;

• Process terminations and Records of Employment;

• Answer queries from internal and external customers;

• Understand and answer queries related to employee deductions, including benefits and pension;

• Calculate manual pays, retroactive amounts, or other amounts as needed.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years of Payroll experience
• Certified Payroll Professional designation favored
• Experience with Ceridian INSYNC is a MUST HAVE
• Experience with Dayforce is an asset
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements
• Experience with high volume data entry
• Experience using accounting software
• Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
