Robert half client in the investment sector is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team.  As an experienced payroll professional you will be responsible for processing payroll for employees in several locations, payroll compliance and best practices. You will act as the main point of contact for employees regarding all payroll related inquiries. This role reports to the Senior Payroll Manager. This is a contract opportunity located in Downtown Toronto.

This Payroll Administrator job is for someone who has experience with Full-cycle Payroll and is ready for a challenge. ● Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for 500+ employees across Canada, the US, UK and Denmark

● Capture all internal moves, compensation changes, new hires, terminations, accurately and in a timely manner for all payroll reporting

● Provide timely response to inquiries from employees as well as government, and other third-party agencies utilizing knowledge and interpretation of policies, procedures and applicable legislation in the respective geographies

● Audit and institute process controls to lower risk of errors and across all Payroll systems ADP WFN & Run

● Provide administrative support for the Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP), drafting all employee letters and communications; Champion the Retirement Pension Committee

● Support the Finance team with reporting and analysis including third-party remittances, year-end reconciliation procedures, and annual returns (e.g. T4, T2200, W-2s)

● Take initiative to drive continuous improvements through identifying system enhancements, and new functionality to improve the efficiency, quality, and usability of payroll systems,

● Partner with the People & Culture team with other projects as needed related to Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Employee Experience and Engagement
