Parts Planning Executive

This important role within the Customer Support Parts operation is primarily responsible for managing the cost centre that delivers parts for BMW, MINI and Motorrad in both the UK and Ireland. In particular the role holder will have close collaboration with both internal stakeholders from BMW UK and BMW AG from a number of departments including Finance, Purchasing and IT.  In addition there will a close working relationship with a large number of external suppliers who manage our warehouse and transportation contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full cost centre management and planning support for the UK RDC (Regional Distribution Center), UK DMDCs (Dealer Metro Distribution Centre) and parts distribution channels. This includes the preparation of budgets, forecasts, capital expenditure and BMW’s Procurement to Pay activity (raising orders through to invoice reconciliation).
  • Compilation of monthly cross charging to retailers, Rolls Royce and Ireland.
  • Responsible for operational reporting to BMW UK and BMW AG.
  • Compilation of monthly supplier KPI results.
  • Calculating supplier bonus payments.
  • Customer Support representative for the prioritisation of all UK Aftersales IT work and responsible for own backlog.
  • Key contact for the UK Finance department regarding financial planning processes and also the key contact for the UK & AG Purchasing departments regarding supplier and contract management.

Qualifications

 

  • Graduate standard.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Good communicator.
  • Desirable:
    •  Degree in business studies with emphasis on Maths.
    • A Level Maths
    • Accountancy Experience.
