We believe great partnerships start with brilliant relationships. You will be an integral part of the music team, responsible for the day-to-day management of our long-term partner Live Nation. Through Priority Tickets, you’ll ensure we deliver exceptional ROI, super-charge Priority and create brand fame, making VMO2 famous.

 

Your responsibility will range from overseeing rights management, media and marketing partnerships, weekly Priority Ticket campaigns to engage and excite our customers, through to creating relevant, engaging and stand out music content for our social channels. We are always looking to innovate and push our partnerships forwards – and we need you to help us with this.

 

Working closely with our music and agency partners you’ll create campaigns that increase our Priority database and make customers want to become part of or stay with VMO2. You’ll ensure our rights-holders fulfil our contractual agreements. You’ll develop a strong day to day network with agents, managers, and promoters to ensure Priority Tickets continues to lead the market.

 

The Partnerships and Sponsorship team is world-class, underpinning our brand differentiation through unique offers, experiences, and rewards for our customers via Priority. Giving VMO2 an outstanding position in the music, sport, entertainment, and cultural fabric of the UK.

 

We’ve invested a lot of time and effort building our sponsorship portfolio over the last 15 years and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. Our partnerships enable us to secure outstanding customer benefits and content – 48 hours artist presales, in-venue perks, industry leading offers, once in a lifetime experience’s and much more. And through Priority, our market leading loyalty platform, we deliver this to our customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Music to deliver and evolve our music strategy, working closely with agency experts and peers, aligning with VMO2 Brand and Business strategies.
  • Manage day to day our Live Nation partnership and deliver Priority Tickets. Building powerful working relationships, looking for opportunities to work together to build brand fame and benefits for our customers.
  • Manage our music industry relationships. Championing the O2 brand, making sure we look our best in every iteration, ensuring our role and purpose is clear. Activate our sponsorship rights to the highest of standards.
  • Be the interface with the wider Virgin Media O2 directorates to utilise music and our partnerships rights across our new business, internally and externally.
  • Working closely with VMO2’s social team to oversee our music presence and activity on social, ensuring we stand out from our competitors and connect with music fans.
  • Priority Tickets is our number one customer proposition, you will manage these always on through the line campaigns. Beyond Priority Tickets we also ensure that music is at the forefront of Priority, our team drives and champions and delivers this.
  • You will be responsible for the information sent out to our customers about music, making sure it is relevant, timely and we aren’t bombarding them.
  • Future Gazing: You will be expected to keep up to date with new media and technology trends; we love world firsts.

 

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience working in live music ticketing and music marketing
  • Knowledge, insight, and passion for maximising sponsorship rights to deliver industry-leading, fully integrated campaigns
  • Experience managing rights holders and agency partners
  • Track record working across social channels, generating quality content
  • Music industry knowledge, expertise, and contacts
  • Ability to manage annual plans and budgets for high-profile partnerships
  • Build strong working relationships, excellent team-working and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
  • Love working with and understanding what makes a great brand and partnership
  • Be great at getting on with people and making things happen. Creative hustler that can think laterally. Rigorous attention to detail. Curious with your ear to the ground for what’s next in music and culture
