Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • IT Channel experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise computing solutions in a customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience serving as a pre-sales engineer, or equivalent experience in a partner-facing role, including working as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team.
  • Experience in one/more of the following areas of IT infrastructure: Networking (VPN, Wireless, protocols), Identity Management (SSO, SAML, LDAP, ActiveDirectory) and Security (VPN, firewalls).
  • Application delivery experience: web application and integration (HTML5, JavaScript), VDI solutions (Citrix, VMWare) and Mobile Apps.
  • Experience architecting/supporting software deployment for large enterprises, primarily within Device Management solutions and end user computing.
  • Familiarity with Android and Chrome (e.g., Linux system architecture/administration, Java/HTML5 development, etc.).

About the job

The Chrome Enterprise Partner Sales Engineering team assists our partners in adopting and integrating Chrome OS into their current portfolio of products and services. We work cross-functionally on our partners technical Go-to-Market with Channels Sales, Product Management, Programs, Marketing and Engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and to devise enhancements to Google's Platform.

As a Chrome Partner Sales Engineer, you'll help existing and newly recruited partners to understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining our vision, our technology, understanding how these fit within the strategy and the roadmap of the partner. You will take a pro-active part in influencing partners to integrate Chrome into their product and services portfolio, driving Chrome adoption within the partner engineering/technical community.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the wider Chrome engineering community to scale technical knowledge and solution designs. Identify and qualify partner opportunities for Chrome.
  • Give the vision of Chrome to the partner community from a technical perspective. Make sure the teams of the partners feel comfortable with promoting Chrome.
  • Support Channel Managers in roadmap sessions and technical trainings.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight the value of Google Chrome, using techniques to include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and RFI response documents. Create a pre-sales support desk for technical assistance for partners.
  • Make recommendations on use cases, integration strategies, networking products, thick/thin client application alternatives, web development platforms and mobile device management policies to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to partners.
