Job Purpose: To provide 1:1 support for a 24-year-old who has disabilities. She is a happy person, who has lots of interests including watching high 5, the wiggles, other DVDs, she loves Christmas, dancing, going on the trampoline, babies, McDonalds, and Pizza. You would mostly be supporting her to get up for the day and then spend time with her doing things she enjoys. 

Tasks and Duties:

• Help her wake up, get dressed and brush her hair.
• Make her breakfast.
• Doing activities with her, including jigsaws, Lego, table tennis and so on.
• Supporting her with exercise, including using her indoor exercise machines, dancing and going on her trampoline with her.
• Supporting her with learning, including with writing, reading and math.
• Talking to her and encouraging her to speak.
• Supporting her on the occasional outing.

Skills & Experience  

• You will need to be reliable, arrive on time and be honest. The most important thing is that you put the effort into really connecting with her.
• You will need a first aid certificate, although this can be organised if you do not already have one. Full driver’s license is preferred, and you will need to be prepared to get a police check if asked.
• Must be fully vaccinated and boosted for this role. 

Availability:

• The hours are Tuesdays 7am-1:30pm and Saturdays 7:30am-1:30pm. 
• Extra hours are likely available if interested. 
• Someone able to stay on longer-term (more than a year) is preferred.  
• The job is located in South Brighton.
• The pay is $23 an hour.
