Role

Lumino R J Begg & Associates have a rare Oral Surgery Assistant opportunity.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school.

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr Begg and team manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.

As our Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a critical role in the practice. You will fully support our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to perform their role by assisting them during patient appointments, surgeries and monitoring patients post-surgery after IV sedation.

You will also be responsible for sterilisation and infection control. There are administrative duties as needed including ordering consumables, calling patients etc.

Hours :

• Monday : 8 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm
• Tuesday : 8 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm
• Wednesday : 8 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm
• Friday : 8 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm

Location

R J Begg & Associates is located in Strowan, Christchurch. It is a predominantly residential area situated 5 km away from the Christchurch CBD.

Person

To be successful in this role, you will bring :

• Previous experience as an Oral Surgery Assistant or Senior Dental Assistant is required.
• Ability to assist in surgical duties.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Strong computer skills.
