What you’ll do:

• Design, create and deliver infrastructure, code or services to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our internal or customer-facing services
• Driving technical excellence in everything we do and fostering a culture around data driven reliability, monitoring and automation following SRE principles
• Be part of a team that contributes to and leads new designs, architectures and standards for large-scale distributed systems spanning multiple territories and regions
• Enhancing and supporting a build framework for continuous deployment and platform automation
• Working alongside development teams to develop and design scalable and high available services and establish effective ways of working
• Work within the larger reliability department to ensure consistent design and reliability standards across the group
• Engage in troubleshooting, service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning
• Communicate work status regularly with a clear articulation of design choices along the way

What you’ll bring:

• Oracle DBA with proven experience in a mission critical database environment.
• 5 years+ of Oracle Database Administration on Linux with strong focus on PL/SQL. Oracle 11g – 19c
• 3 years+ scripting with one or more of Bash, Python, Powershell, Java
• 3 years+ Linux & Windows System administration - capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning
• Databases - experience with other database platforms i.e. MySql, Couchbase.
• Configuration management - experience with two or more of Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef etc
• CI/CD - build pipelines in one or more of Jenkins, Concourse, GoCD, TeamCity, Octopus etc
• Cloud Platforms - designing infrastructure, deployment patterns and automation within at least one of e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure etc
