Job Description

The role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor –Working Monday to Friday, you will effectively manage your team to achieve organisational objectives, whilst promoting a safety focused work environment. Driving productivity and efficiency will be critical to this role, along with identifying areas of improvement

Duties

• You will be responsible for a team of drivers who are required to manually sort freight that is incoming from Melbourne Airport 
• You will be managing time and attendance requirements
• You will attend to customer issues
• Manage compliance and fatigue management 
• Reporting and other ad hoc administration requirements 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience in a similar role within the transport/logistics industry.
• Demonstrated experienced in leading, training, and mentoring staff.
• Analytical skills – data analysis, problem solving and report generating.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and meet competing deadlines to meet service demands.
• Computer literacy – Intermediate MS Office Suite skills.
