Introduction:

At Boeing Defence UK our successful Rotorcraft Support Services for Chinook maintenance requires an Operations Specialist for our Gosport site in support of the TLCS-2 contract.

The Chinook is supported by Boeing at RAF Odiham, Boscombe down and Gosport sites. With the award of the TLCS-2 contract until 2026 and to support this growth a new Maintenance Operations Specialist role has been created. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager the Operations Specialist will play a key role in the delivery of the Depth maintenance.

With a background in aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) the support specialist will have a wealth of knowledge and experience in MRO processes, techniques and best practice.

With experience of working across MRO functions such as maintenance/production, planning, production control, technical services or management the Operations Specialist will act as a subject matter expert during all aspects of planning and reporting for the TLCS-2 contract.

Responsibilities:

• Interface with leaders of the enterprise and with external customers and suppliers on a regular basis.
• Working to support the programme team to meet the TLCS-2 contractual KPI's.
• Joint aircraft status report attendance.
• Evaluates and supports the Customers’ maintenance requirements.
• Working in a challenging environment must be able to navigate conflict effectively.
• Provide planning and scheduling for aircraft Military airworthiness reviews and inspections.
• Working to support a BDUK supplier in the delivery of depth maintenance.
• Daily aircraft status.
• Communication of aircraft critical path.
• Supplier production meeting attendance.
• Coordination of aircraft induction.
• Raising and approval of induction tasking.
• Coordination of aircraft engine requirements .

Work Authorisation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security clearance (SC) for which UK residency is required. All information will be checked and verified.

Preferred Qualifications (Skills, Education, and Experience):

• Major extensive MRO/Modification experience.
• Experience of leading teams across multiple functions and teams.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and in written form.
• Experience of project management with a formal qualification (desired but not required).
• Good knowledge and understanding of commercial/defence airline maintenance/modification and engineering operations.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Must be conversant with MS Office applications to include, MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Knowledge and experience of MoD projects, preferably Chinook related will be an advantage.
