About the role

This is a key leadership role within this large Construction Business, and you’ll be working alongside the GM and other senior leaders in the team to execute their long-term vision and strategy, which is driven off excellent delivery of projects through market leading commercial and technical capabilities and discipline.  You will be directly responsible for the performance and delivery of all project delivery teams, ensuring they are provided with the tools and guidance they need to develop and progress their own skills within the business including driving diversity, youth and broader outcomes.

Key focuses to promote and drive:

• Strategic business growth plan
• Construction best practice in the New Zealand market
• Continuous development of operational excellence within the Project Delivery teams
• A sophisticated and agile risk management approach to the delivery of projects
• Staff development and succession

About You

As an experienced Construction or Operations Manager, you’ll bring with you a proven record of exceptional project delivery and putting people first through providing decisive and inclusive leadership to your teams and the wider business. In addition, you’ll also have:

• Strategic planning skills, focused on delivering BAU with excellence whilst growing the business further
• Exceptional communication skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships and to lead strong energetic project teams
• Strong energy and dedication to be able to drive the business forward
• Demonstrated capability in regard to financial and performance management
• Extensive construction experience in delivering large scale projects with strong commercial acumen including demonstrated capability in contracts, design and build, construction methodology, project controls, programme management and resource planning
