Job Description

The Operations Manager is a 24 month fixed term role responsible for accomplishing results through the management of offshore teams responsible for assessing the ability of individuals and companies to meet the demands of loans by determining level of credit that can be granted without undue risk. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage offshore teams through delegation of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ensure the team's productivity and turnaround standards are met, and monitor quality and efficiency results.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. As well as, apply in-depth knowledge of how areas integrate within the sub function to coordinate and contribute to the goals of the entire function.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and identify training and development needs of offshore teams.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement.
  • Manage occasionally complex and varied issues with significant departmental impact.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience with background in Financial Services Industry
  • Knowledge of the Client Onboarding processes
  • Working knowledge of Account Opening, including underwriting principles & Anti Money Laundering (AML) Requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Citi has entered into an agreement with NAB to acquire its consumer bank in Australia which includes residential mortgages, deposits, and unsecured lending.

The sale is expected to complete in March 2022. As this is a role to work in Citi's consumer bank, the successful candidate will initially be employed by Citi, but on sale completion, their employment will transfer to a NAB (or) a new entity that will employ Citi's consumer bank employees, prior to their transfer to NAB.
